Do you look after a family member or friend with disability, a medical condition, mental illness or who is frail due to age? Do your caring esponsibilities affect your ability to work, study or socialise? Carer Gateway is the Australian Government’s initiative supporting carers of all ages. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) carers face the same stresses and pressures as other carers. But you may also face added problems of discrimination. LGBTI carers can use all the same supports and services as other carers, including financial help, respite services and help and advice in many areas.

Pride Vic Disability Services

Living with a disability is challenging enough without the fear of judgment or prejudice based on gender identity or sexual preference. As Australia's only LGBTQI+ specific Disability Support Agency we have created a safe and inclusive space for individuals to access NDIS support services in the Melbourne Greater Metropolitan area. Foreskin Revolution

Forced amputation of children's healthy body parts does not belong in the 21st century. At Foreskin Revolution, we advocate for the rights of children and the adults they become. Children are born perfect. We believe all people should feel empowered to celebrate their body and that the foreskin is valuable, purposeful tissue that is better enjoyed, embraced and explored, rather than forcibly amputated in childhood. Gay & Lesbian Immigration Task Force

The Gay & Lesbian Immigration Task Force provides migration advice, support and assistance to gay and lesbian couples who are members of GLITF Victoria and who are seeking Permanent Residence status for the non-resident partner of an individual who is an Australian Citizen, an Australian Permanent Resident, or an Eligible New Zealand Citizen.

Intact Australia

Everyone has a right to a whole, complete body, with all the parts they were born with, including the genitals. At Intact Australia, we are against the forced genital cutting of anyone without their fully informed consent and this includes babies and children. Intact Australia provides research based information on how valuable the foreskin is; the many functions it has and how integral it is to our sexual health and pleasure. Intersex Human Rights Australia is a national not-for-profit company by and for people born with variations of sex characteristics. We were formerly known as OII Australia. We promote human rights, health and bodily autonomy. Our goals are to help create a society where intersex bodies are not stigmatised, and where our rights as people are recognised. We build community, evidence, capacity, and education and information resources.

Queers In Science

QueersInScience is an initiative that is building community and improving support for LGBTQIA+ people in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) in Australia. Our vision is to foster and champion an inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ people in STEMM. We are a thriving community of queer people in STEMM, holding regular professional and social events. Victorian Pride Lobby

Aged Care

Housing for the Aged Action Group

Housing for the Aged Action Group (HAAG) is a Victorian community-based organisation specialising in the housing needs of older people. Our early intervention and prevention approach to homelessness involves a one-stop shop of housing information, support, referrals, outreach, advice and advocacy for Victorians over 50 years of age. HAAG welcomes all members of the LGBTI communities to access our housing services, to participate in our organisation and our campaigns for housing justice and to work with us

Lifeview Residential Aged Care

Lifeview Residential Aged Care is committed to building an innovative aged care home specifically for LGBTI people and friends in Prahran – Lifeview Marigold. On top of this our culture, policies and practices ensure all our homes are inclusive of LGBTI residents, staff and volunteers. Lifeview is Rainbow Tick accredited. Val's LGBTI Ageing & Aged Care

Val’s LGBTI Ageing & Aged Care is a program of Rainbow Health Victoria, at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health, & Society, La Trobe University. Established in 2009, Val’s works to improve healthy ageing pathways, care and visibility of older lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/gender diverse, and intersex (LGBTI) people. In order to achieve this objective, Val’s work directly with service providers to foster an understanding of the histories and experiences of older LGBTI people and how these may impact their access to, and experience of, care and support services as they age. Val’s aims to create safe and inclusive aged care and health services that recognise and value older LGBTI people. Val's can provide information, education and resources to services providers caring for and/or supporting older people, as well as information to LGBTI elders looking for information about care and support services.

Amnesty International

We are the Victorian branch of the Amnesty LGBTIQA+ Network. We are part of Amnesty International Australia a global Human Rights organisations. We empower, support and train LGBTIQA+ activists and allies and together work on LGBTIQA+ campaigns, events, submissions, and contribute to organisational governance. We also work collaboratively with Amnesty LGBTIQA+ groups to achieve our goals.

The Pinnacle Foundation

The Pinnacle Foundation provides educational scholarships, m entoring and opportunities for young LGBTIQ+ Australians to realise their full potential and overcome challenges arising from their identity. Our vision is for a more diverse and inclusive society with visible LGBTIQ+ role models. The Foundation awards multi-year scholarships nationally to students aged between 17 and 26 to study at public higher education institutions in Australia to achieve educational or vocational qualifications in any profession, trade or the arts. Family Planning Victoria

Family Planning Victoria's vision is for all people in Victoria to enjoy optimum sexual and reproductive health. We do this through our sexual health clinics in Box Hill and the CBD, as well as through professional and community education and advocacy. Gambler's Help

Gambler’s Help has been attending Midsumma for many years. With the move online, we would like to continue to offer support to the LGBTI+ community in an engaging way online. Gambling harm can be difficult to talk openly about with family and friends and our service offers a range of supports and information to assist with asking for help. Our counselling and community education services offer support for friends and family of those affected by harm and raise awareness about the many ways that gambling harm can affect the wider community.

Kara House

Kara House is a Specialist Family Violence Service based in the Eastern suburbs providing specialist domestic and family violence support to individuals and their children regardless of gender identity and sexual orientation. Services include risk assessment and safety planning, case management and advocacy, referral to other services, secondary consultation and community education. We offer short-term secure accommodation for those who need relocation for their safety and support to clients living in the wider community. As the Victorian Partner of Say It Out Loud, we are committed to providing access to accurate information about domestic violence to the LGTBIQ community.

Your Community Health

We enable health, wellbeing and dignity for all people in northern Melbourne by providing responsive and accessible services. We operate across the seven Local Government Areas (LGAs) of northern Melbourne: Darebin, Banyule, Moreland, Yarra, Hume, Nillumbik and Whittlesea. Mackillop Family Services

At MacKillop Family Services, we work with foster carers to provide safe and nurturing homes for children and young people who are unable to live safely with their families. This can be for a few days, or a weekend or for much longer. City of Stonnington

Council’s Aged Services have been Rainbow Tick accredited since 2012. The Rainbow Tick is a national accreditation program for organisations that are committed to safe and inclusive practice, and service delivery for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) people. As an aged service provider, we provide home and community based care and activities. These activities support older people and people with disability to remain active and independent. Council also supports IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia Biphobia and Transphobia) through an annual fundraising event with proceeds going towards Switchboard Victoria.

Darebin Council

The City of Darebin is a municipality in Melbourne's inner north with a long, proud history as a safe &inclusive community for LGBTIQA+ people and their families. Darebin Council is working towards equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) residents. Our focus in on strengthening participation and rights, intersectionality with other identities & experiences, and First Nations justice & recognition.

Liberal Pride

Liberal Pride is the LGBTIQ+ (and allies) Branch of the Liberal Party of Australia (Victorian Division) with approximately a hundred and fifty members making it one of the fastest growing branches across the state including numerous Liberal State and Federal Members of Parliament. The Liberal Party has a proud history of LGBTIQ+ policies and Liberal Pride continues to advocate for the community.

Rainbow Labor Network Victoria

Rainbow Labor Network Victoria (RLNV) is the official LGBTIQ association of the Australian Labor Party’s Victorian branch. We are made up of LGBTIQ identifying party members, friends and supporters. We promote equality and diversity within the ALP, fight for and advance the rights of LGBTIQ people, support LGBTIQ candidates for public office, and build networks with the broader LGBTIQ community. Yarra City Council has a long history of promoting equal rights for its LGBTIQ+ community, and many LGBTIQ+ people choose to live, work and socialise in the City of Yarra. Australian Federal Police

The AFP is committed to recruiting and retaining people that reflect the community we serve. We llustrate this commitment by participating in events, such as, Melbourne MidSuma and having an employee LGBTI Network, titled the Gay and Lesbian Liaison Officer Network (GLLO). The AFP GLLO Network commenced in 1996 to provide additional support for members of the LGBTIQA+ community. We provide support and advocacy for staff who are LGBTIQA+ or who have family members who are LGBTIQA+, provide a link between the community and AFP, and boost AFP as a LGBTIQA+ safe workplace. In 2020, the AFP won highest ranking public sector award, from Pride in Diversity, as part of the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) The AFP is a progressive and multi-faceted law enforcement agency that focuses on many aspects of crime, including but not limited to, Child Protection, Cyber Crime, Terrorism and Drug Importation

Out For Australia’s (OFA) provides visible mentors, role models, thought leadership and targeted support to aspiring LGBTQIA+ professionals and strengthens the sense of community among professionals and students. OFA’s core offering – its mentoring program – connects LGBTQIA+ mentors and mentees. As a mentee, you can talk with someone more experienced with you about diverse topics, from what it's like being queer in the workplace, to what your next career step should be, to how you write a strong cover letter. As a mentor, you can pass your wisdom to your mentee, helping them grow professionally and personally.

Rainbow Network

Rainbow Network is a program of Rainbow Health Victoria, at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health, & Society, La Trobe University. Rainbow Network empowers health and human services that work with young people to provide safe, welcoming and inclusive services for young LGBTQIA+ Victorians. Rainbow Network offers resources about LGBTQIA+ inclusive practice, secondary consultation and referral, regular issues-based forums and professional learning opportunities and regular Community of Practice group. Rainbow Network is delivered in partnership with the Health Equal Youth (HEY) partnership funded by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.

Switchboard

Switchboard is an LGBTIQA+ community controlled organisation. Switchboard provides peer-driven support services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, intersex, queer and asexual (LGBTIQA+) people, their families, allies and communities. Victorian Pride Centre

The Victorian Pride Centre (in its final construction stages) will soon celebrate Victoria’s diverse LGBTIQ+ community, paving new directions for its future and honouring its brave, and at times, difficult past. It will provide an uplifting expression of welcome, engagement and belonging. Housing major and important LGBTIQ+ resident organisations, while also providing flexible and multi-use spaces, a health service, training room, meeting rooms, a reflection room, café/bar, theatrette and gallery for use by smaller groups. This space will also serve as a hub for LGBTIQ+ groups and organisations to share ideas and resources and to further their work in supporting equality, diversity and inclusion across the state. We have an amazing team working hard behind the scenes to make The Victorian Pride Centre a reality. The building is due to open early 2021.

Bushrangers Basketball

Bushrangers Basketball is Australia's largest LGBTIQA+ basketball club. Our mission is to ensure LGBTIQA+ folk can access and participate in community sport. We have teams playing in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Darwin and Auckland. Bushrangers Basketball pride themselves on creating safe spaces for LGBTIQA+ basketballers and their allies to play community sport. They are seeking to generate interest in all players in the LGBTIQA+ community (and allies) who are disengaged in sporting activity or looking for a safe space to play basketball.

Melbourne Motorcycle Tourers

Melbourne Motorcycle Tourers Inc (MMT) is a club for LGBTIQA+ motorcyclists. We are based in Melbourne but welcome riders from all over Victoria to join us. We were formed in 1990 and celebrated our 30th year in 2020. We are a very informal group and welcome all motorcyclists from beginners to expert riders, on anything from scooters to sports bikes. We participate in many of Melbourne’s LGBTIQA+ events as well as organising our own dinners, meetings, social events, and regular day, weekend, and longer rides.

Melbourne Rainbow Band

The Melbourne Rainbow Band is a community concert band providing an opportunity for musicians to develop their musical abilities in an environment free of prejudice and discrimination, and to promote the GLBTI community to the wider population. Our members’ musical skill levels vary from beginner to professional and our members are gay, lesbian, bisexual, straight, old, young, male, female, whomever, whatever – as long as they are accepting, tolerant, and love music! Motafrenz welcomes anyone who has an interest in cars, classic, vintage or modern. We have always aimed to cater for a wide variety of people, so whether your car is as rare as a Roller or as cute as a Capri, Motafrenz is the club for you. Motafrenz has a very active calendar of events, with something happening almost every week.

Ranger Rollers

Ranger Rollers is a social skate meet-up run by Bushrangers Sporting Alliance, an Australia-wide, LGBTIQA+ club. We pride ourselves on creating safe spaces for LGBTIQA+ skaters and their rad allies. We welcome skaters and bladers (especially gender diverse folk) who might be disengaged from the community or looking for a safe space to skate. Ranger Roller’s aim is to engage with skaters who have avoided participating in community sport due to their gender and/or sexuality. Ranger Rollers aims to provide a weekly outlet for inclusion and visibility at a social sporting level that might be missed in one-off Pride tournaments or annual inclusion/diversity initiatives

Rotary - Pride in Action

Rotary is where neighbours, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create lasting change. The LGBT Rotarians and Friends Fellowship is a group in the family of Rotary, dedicated to promoting global friendship, service and education. The fellowship aims to create an inclusive, understanding and welcoming community, fostering goodwill and peace, and realising a world that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for LGBT+ people.

Melbourne Frontrunners

We’re an inclusive LGBTQ+ running and walking club, open to everyone regardless of ability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity. We have over 170 members, so whatever your fitness level, pace or preferred distance, you will find members to walk, run and train with all year round. Melbourne Rovers Soccer Club

Melbourne Rovers was formed in June 2008, as a LGBTIQA+ soccer club to foster the playing of soccer so as to achieve the general aims of physical and social fitness, health and recreation. Melbourne Rovers are a mix of players from different backgrounds, who range in age from 18 to 55. While many players in the club identify as same sex attracted, there are also a number of players and officials who identify as bi-sexual or straight. Sexuality is not an obstacle for playing for Melbourne Rovers and their affiliated clubs.

Shuttlecats Badminton Club

Shuttlecats is a Melbourne based LGBTQI+ social badminton club. All skill levels are welcome for a casual hit, to make friends and stay active. Social events are also organised outside of sessions. If you identify as a queer woman, transgender woman, non-binary individual or ally, stop by for a friendly game. We play on Tuesday evenings at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, be sure to check our website and Facebook Events page for session updates!

Southern Lights Ice Hockey Club

Southern Lights Ice Hockey Club is Australia's first LGBT+ ice hockey club, formed in 2019 as part of Australian LGBT Ice Hockey.

Women's Circus

Women’s Circus is a not for profit feminist arts organisation based in the Drill Hall in West Footscray, offering a year round program of community, circus and performance training.
